Fortunately my friend has alot of resources and i was able to remove the tranny and take it to TransGear (local company) and have the rear housing replaced. With a friends help to keep the rpms in that range i noticed that by pushing very lightly on my transfer case the "noise" stopped, i didnt realize at that point the severity of the problem until the next morning at my friends shop with the truck on the lift. Four night ago i noticed a noise when at 700-800 rpms, i investigated this "noise" at night, in my driveway. Since i starting using four wheel drive this year, about 2 months ago (when it started snowing here), i noticed a small vibration when idling in 4X4, this made no sense to me as the transfer case should not be moving (internally) at all, but it was my first observation that something could be wrong.
